Ceramic Bisque Glazed Crab

Stephanie B. from Pensacola, Florida enjoys her glazed ceramic pieces. This ceramic bisque crab is open in the back and used as a hidden scrubby holder. Outside, it could be used as a unique planter. The foliage would not cover him up as it extends from the back! Glaze: Speckled Hot Tamale.

Below, our glazed ceramic Plump Dragonflies (in the Garden Section) enjoy her fountain pool. Using acrylic paint, brush black or a dark color into the wing grooves, then take a slightly damp sponge and brush it over the wings. The dark color will remain in the grooves while you paint the remaining light portions of the wing.

Cathie L from Pensacola, Florida is a Ceramic Emporium artist who likes the Waterfall Cascade glaze (featured on her dragonfly, below)for her pottery painting. She highly saturates each ceramic bisque piece with crystals; they often require several jars of glaze. This ceramic piece is huge and required three hours to paint. The unpainted dragonfly bisque is also in our Garden Section.
