For your wizard and dragon bisqueware, remember not to let the ceramic bisque dry out if you want to blend colors. Use a wet on wet painting technique. For scales, if the outer edges are darker, it adds more depth. Try coloring the dragon a dark color (such as green or purple) and while still wet, wipe clean with a paper towel. That will leave the dark color in the scale lines.
