For your Christmas bisqueware, remember not to let the ceramic bisque dry out if you want to blend colors. Use a wet on wet painting technique. Reds (such as Santa's clothes) should have a darker hint of maroon around the outer edges and folds if you want more depth. That also applies to greens- have a contrasting darker shade near the bottom of leaves where they connect to the stem.
